Couples looking for a rustic escape
The place is clean and had a small kitchenette with a fridge which came in handy. Plus, the staff were very friendly, helped us out with extra pillows, little things like that make a difference!
Not exactly a bargain, but honestly not bad for what you get.

Would recommend for a weekend getaway
Lovely cottage, cozy kitchen. the staff was exceptionally friendly, and the continental breakfast offered just enough fuel for a day of adventure around the nearby attractions.
Couldn’t have been happier.

The lodge features a hot tub, providing an excellent way to unwind after a day of exploring. The rooms are clean and have a northwoods feel with pine ceilings, nice furniture, and a small kitchenette, making it ideal for families or couples looking for a cozy stay.
Parking near the cabins is steep and not the easiest with luggage or kids. The long stairs to the cabin were awkward and unexpected, and the TV placement wasn’t convenient for viewing from the bed. Bright neon lights from the nearby gas station shined through mini-blinds, making it tough to sleep well. heavy curtains would help significantly. Additionally, the breakfast offered is basic and doesn't really impress, which was a letdown after a day of exploring.

We had an awesome group trip! The cabins were clean and cozy, and we loved having coffee on our porch. We explored Harney Peak and the beautiful French Creek Natural Area nearby. Just a heads up, breakfast is basic, but it was perfect to grab and go before our hikes.
The only downside was the limited breakfast options. some more variety would have been great.

The cabin was super cute and clean, and having a porch was a nice touch for enjoying the morning coffee. Smelled fresh when we walked in. It felt cozy, like being at a home away from home. But breakfast choices were a bit limited, not much variety to pick from. Overall, though, we were happy with our stay!

Rock Crest Lodge & Cabins is an absolute gem! Our stay was incredibly comfortable in the One-Bedroom Cottage, which was clean and cozy. We loved the little kitchen area, which made it easy to store snacks and drinks. The staff was exceptionally friendly and quick to help with anything we needed. Each morning, we enjoyed the grab-and-go breakfast with delicious options to fuel our adventures.

The one-bedroom cottage was charming and had a lovely porch, perfect for morning coffee. Its location allowed easy walking access to town and nearby Custer State Park attractions. Breakfast was simple yet satisfying, with grab-and-go options like bagels and muffins. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool was not operational during our visit, which was disappointing, and the response from management about the situation left much to be desired.
